Senior Manager TV Operations (Full-time, Permanent)

FIFA is looking to recruit a responsible and highly experienced, skilled and organised person as a Senior Manager TV Operations.


In this permanent fuul-time role, you will support our Host Broadcast Production Department within the Commercial Division.

Your duties
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of FIFA’s host broadcast production strategy
  • Manage the planning and implementation of all aspects of the host broadcast production and operations for FIFA tournaments and events, including but not limited to:
    • Definition of scope of production
    • Management and supervision of external suppliers to ensure that the TV production and all service levels are delivered according to FIFA’s standards of quality, and in a cost-effective manner
    • Support technology developments to enhance broadcast delivery
    • Benchmark other sports events in terms of quality, innovation and delivery to ensure best practice
    • Procurement of technical services and human resources
    • Drafting, negotiation, execution and implementation of supplier contracts
    • Budget management
    • Assist and support FIFA Local Entities and Local Organising Committees in delivering all broadcast infrastructure as per FIFA's requirements
    • Oversee the IBC (International Broadcast Centre) concept development process from design to implementation
    • On-site event-time role will include overseeing the delivery of all broadcast production aspects and being main point of contact to other FIFA departments, local entities and external suppliers in relation to broadcast operations
    • Ensure all compliance and legal requirements related to broadcast operations at FIFA events are met by all involved external contributors
  • Management of certain further projects: planning and successful delivery within the set parameters

Our requirements
  • University degree
  • 7+ years’ experience at a senior level managing the planning and delivery of host broadcast operations for market leading international sports events, particularly with an emphasis on football
  • Solid understanding of the technical, editorial and operational aspects of sports broadcasting – broadcast industry qualifications a plus
  • Strong knowledge of industry players and international broadcasters
  • Having worked on FIFA World Cup™ and FIFA Women’s World Cup™ will be an asset
  • Computer literate: MS office and familiar with broadcast related software systems
  • Impeccable written and oral communication skills in English, knowledge of any other language an advantage
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in multi-cultural environments
  • Leadership and teamwork capabilities
  • Pro-active, detail oriented and ability to maintain awareness of the ‘big picture’
  • Interest in and good knowledge of football as a sport
  • Willingness to travel for long periods and readiness to dedicate extensive work time
