Business Development Manager EMEA

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for promoting the business and the range of services that it represents on a semi-technical level to the markets in EMEA 

with the support of the production and marketing departments and the Global Head of Sales.

Memnon Archiving Services SA ("Memnon") is built around content preservation, servicing and monetisation. Through a combination of industry expertise and technical excellence, we manage our clients’ most significant media assets across the content lifecycle. 
By making media collections and libraries accessible, discoverable and usable, we empower organisations to tell stories and drive value from their content.
The ES Media Group is a specialist supplier of end-to-end services for the professional broadcast and production industries, encompassing broadcast equipment sales and rental, broadcast systems integration, production equipment rental and media services. The ES Media Group is the parent company of Memnon. 
The role requires unique, specialized industry knowledge and expertise in identifying potential revenue opportunities through networking and assertive field sales techniques. 
The role plays a pivotal role in client negotiations and relationship development. This is a key role in our team, client interaction is at the highest decision making level and proven long term relationship development experience and success in finding and closing new business opportunities is crucial. 
  • Research and identify new business opportunities in EMEA with a focus on the United Kingdom and Europe
  • Generate leads and contact prospective customers 
  • Attend shows and events to foster new and existing relationships
  • Re-engage and nurture dormant accounts 
  • Nurture new accounts 
  • Achieve a thorough understanding of the company’s products and services to be able to advise customers about them
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline 
  • Communicate the value proposition and manage the customer effectively through the sales cycle
  • Keep up to date with existing and emerging technologies
  • Nurture existing partnerships in the United Kingdom and foster new ones
  • Participate in sales meetings
  • Produce reports for management
  • Forecasting for management
  • Discuss promotional strategies with the marketing department
  • Reporting to Global Head of Sales. 
  • To work both independently and as part of a team while displaying high degree of self-motivation and ambition to work autonomously at times
  • Strong networking, communication, negotiation, presentation, and proposal development skills
  • A good knowledge of a CRM (preferably Microsoft Dynamics) and fluent in all Microsoft Office tools, with a solid grasp of Excel.
  • English-speaking essential
  • Professional fluency in French preferred but knowledge of another EMEA language would be appreciated.
  • Impeccable written and communication skills
  • Desired relevant business development experience
  • Demonstrated pipeline management, closing and forecasting skills
  • Legacy media migration industry knowledge preferred
  • Content services knowledge is an advantage.
